Accounts/Human Resources Officer
30 hours per week

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Accounts and HR team. This position is responsible for general financial processing services and for the administration of the Embassy’s time and attendance and payroll system. The Accounts/HR Officer will assist the HR Manager with administrative duties, including recruitment, HR processing and report requests.

The monthly salary will be EUR 2,627 paid 14 times per year. Employment will be for an initial period of 12 months with a 1 month probationary period, commencing as soon as possible.

This position requires an accounts officer with experience in accrual accounting, payroll and tax reporting, experience with electronic accounting systems (preferably SAP), and a good knowledge and understanding of the Austrian Labour and Social Security Law. The applicant must be fluent in both English and German.

Applicants must hold appropriate insurance and have permission to work in Austria.

Candidates should include the following documentation in their application:

1. Curriculum vitae (resume) in English, containing:
- personal information, including address and telephone contact details;
- summary of employment history; and
- contact details (telephone and email) for at least two referees who can comment on work performance.

2. Statement supporting the Selection Criteria:
- Experience in accrual accounting, payroll and tax reporting;
- Good knowledge and application of the Austrian Labour and Social Security Law;
- Experience in MS Excel and in the use of a computerised accounting system, preferably SAP;
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to create productive working relationships with a variety of people at different levels of an organisation;
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines;
- High level of English and German written and oral skills.
